1. Book early for the best price
To get the best deal book your Disneyland Paris trip as soon as the new dates are released. Not only is Disneyland popular so you run the risk of your dates being sold out if you try to book last minute but also the price steadily increases as the date of travel gets closer so you can save money by booking early.
We once booked just over a month after the bookings were released and the package cost had increased by £300 so it can increase quickly.
2. Buy an annual pass
For one visit this may not actually save you any money, but if you’re planning on going a few times throughout the year then an annual pass for Disneyland Paris could help you save money. A one day ticket will set you back on anywhere from €87 for one adult, whereas an annual pass for one adult starts from €289. This means that if you’re buying park tickets for more than 3 days an annual pass will save you money.
This is just an example based on 2026 costs but the ticket prices change annually so make sure you check out the price for a day ticket and annual pass costs on the Disneyland Paris website.
3. Don’t buy a meal plan
Meal plans can seem like great value when you’re looking at the individual prices of the restaurants at Disneyland Paris. I get it, some of these places are PRICEY so the meal plans seem like the most sensible option but for most people they’re not!
When you’re at Disneyland you’ll have long busy days so you’ll find you stop more for snacks and drinks, and don’t necessarily follow your normal eating routines that you’d have at home.
Ride times fluctuate all throughout the day and you want to be able to make the most of a dip in queue times to catch another one or two rides. You can’t do this if you have a dinner reservation or are mid-way through a sit down meal in the Disney Village. This is especially true in the summer months when Disneyland Paris is open well past when most people have their evening meals.
You also have to book them in advance to ensure you can get a spot as they’re all quite busy meaning if your plans change you can’t always change the time of your booking.
Here’s what we do to save money on food at Disneyland Paris without buying a meal plan,
- If you’re feeling extra hungry or just want to sit somewhere and have an actual meal go for the kids portions, they’re so much cheaper and are really good sizes. Our favourites for this are the Cowboy Cookout Barbeque and the Toad Hall Restaurant.
- We snack … all day! At home we’re a three meal a day family with maybe a snack after school for the kids, however at Disneyland we really do snack all day.
- We share snacks for two reasons, it saves us money and is more fun because we get to try a wider variety of food.
- We choose a wide variety of snacks – not just crisps or ice cream. We’ll share a Mickey pizza, two Mickey pretzel sandwiches or a couple of Mickey shortbread biscuits (can you tell we love the Mickey shaped food)

4. Bring snacks
While it’s fun (and tasty) to buy Disney themed snacks while you’re there, this can very quickly add up to an astronomical amount. You can still enjoy some of the Mickey shaped snacks in the park but save yourself some money by stocking up on snacks from nearby supermarkets too.
There is a supermarket in the train station but as you’d expect, it can be more expensive. Areas like Bussy-Saint-Georges and Val d’Europe have supermarkets, bakeries and other shops where you can pick up a few snacks and drinks for your trip and there are only a few easy stops on the metro.
5. Buy Disney ears before you travel
There’s a wide range of souvenirs at Disneyland all at different price points. Some things feel like they’re great value, others are expensive for what you actually get.
Disney ears are one of those things that aren’t really worth it when you buy them onsite. To save some money keep an eye out for deals and buy your Disney ears and costumes before you travel.
6. Choose a budget friendly hotel
With two superhero mad boys it would be amazing to stay at Hotel New York, however for us it’s just not worth the cost when you consider how much time you actually spend in the room.
Budget friendly hotels like Davy Crockett Ranch, Hotel Cheyenne and Santa Fe may not be as luxurious as some of the more expensive onsite hotels at Disneyland Paris, but they’re still clean, comfortable and offer great value.
7. Be flexible with your dates
Spend some time looking across several dates ranges on the Disneyland Paris website. Once you search you’ll also find a section at the bottom with some alternative suggestions if your dates are flexible.
Of course, it’ll be easier to find a deal if you’re not confined by school dates, however even in school holidays you can still find a good deal if you book early enough.
It’s even worth checking dates that you would expect to be more expensive, we were shocked to find that it was cheaper to go over the bank holiday in August than the Easter holidays in April!

8. Book your travel separately
When you book a package through Disneyland Paris you can either book just hotel and tickets or hotel, tickets and transport to get to the destination.
Depending on your method of transportation it can be cheaper to book the hotel and tickets package, and then book your transport separately to get the best deal.
It’s easy to figure out if it’s worth it for you by pricing up a package with and without transportation through Disney and then looking at how much your chosen travel method would be if you booked that separately.
We’ve found that for us it’s always been cheaper to book our travel separately but we normally travel by Eurostar.
9. Avoid premier access
With a good plan of action you can avoid the main queues, see plenty of other shows or attractions, and have a great visit.
I know premier access may seem tempting, especially if you’re travelling with older kids who want to go on the more popular rides, however when the cost of Premier Access for a family of 4 is almost £700 per day (2026 prices) it makes less sense. Especially when you consider that a room at Hotel Cheyenne was coming up at £472 per night for the same dates.
The moral of this story is save yourself money and book an extra night instead of buying Premier Access for one day!
10. Don’t get carried away
Disneyland Paris is one of these places where it’s so easy to get carried away – delicious snacks, expensive restaurants, souvenir shops on every corner. It takes a good budget and some will power to make sure you don’t overspend.
Set a realistic daily budget ahead of your trip and stick to it!

Summary: how to visit Disneyland Paris on a budget
Hopefully these tips will help you visit Disneyland Paris on a budget without compromising on the magic or breaking the bank!
If there were three top tips I had to follow to make sure I didn’t overspend on my next Disneyland Paris trip it’d be,
- Book early for the best price. We’ve been stung by this before, waiting even a couple of months to book after dates are released can cost you at least £300 more.
- Don’t purchase a meal plan that you’ll either regret or be too busy to use properly. Instead share snacks and food throughout the day, there are plenty of places to grab food no matter where you are in either of the parks!
- Avoid Premier Access, it’s so expensive just to reduce the queues on some of the rides. Instead book another night in the hotel and have some change!
Ultimately, don’t get swept up in the magic of Disney and remember it’s about the whole experience, not dining with the princesses or staying at the most expensive Disneyland Hotel.
