Two Parks in One Day at Disneyland Paris: Is It Really Possible?

The image shows a picturesque section of Disneyland Paris on a bright, sunny day, viewed across a clear turquoise lagoon in the foreground. The calm water reflects the blue sky and scattered white clouds above, while neatly trimmed grass and landscaped banks frame the edge of the lagoon. Beyond the water, colourful red-and-white parasols shade outdoor seating areas where guests gather and relax. To the left, a whimsical carousel-style attraction with a striped canopy adds vibrant colour and movement to the scene. In the background, the pink spires and ornate turrets of Sleeping Beauty Castle rise above the surrounding buildings, creating a fairytale focal point. Decorative trees, flowerbeds and themed architecture fill the area, while visitors stroll through the park enjoying the attractions. The image captures the lively yet scenic atmosphere of Disneyland Paris on a clear summer day.

Are you considering visiting Disneyland Paris but your only option is a day trip? Maybe you’re trying to squeeze it in on a trip to Paris, or your budget only allows you to visit for one day. Either way, if you’re considering whether it’s worth it to visit both Disneyland Paris parks in one day I say do it!

It absolutely is possible to do Disneyland Paris in one day, it just takes some extra planning, prioritising what’s most important to you, and being realistic with your expectations. It does of course help if you’re able to stay overnight in one of the Disney hotels but not necessary.

Disneyland Paris is packed full of rides, characters, attractions, shows and parades so it can be difficult to know how to plan your trip to fit everything in when you’re visiting for 3 days, let alone just one day!

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

In this post we help you plan your day trip to Disneyland Paris by explaining what you can expect to find in each of the two parks, covering our top tips to visiting both Disneyland Paris parks in one day, and answering some common questions like is one day really enough to visit both Disneyland Paris parks or if you can go between both parks at Disneyland Paris.

The image shows a wide view down the centre of Main Street at Disneyland Paris on a bright, sunny day. In the distance, the pink Sleeping Beauty Castle stands prominently at the end of the street, framed by trees and decorative lampposts on both sides. The sky above is vivid blue with scattered white clouds, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere. Tram tracks run through the middle of the brick-paved street, leading the eye toward the castle. Large crowds of visitors fill the scene, including families with pushchairs, groups of friends, and children walking around the park. Some people are dressed casually in shorts and T-shirts, while others wear Disney-themed clothing and accessories. The overall image captures the lively energy and busy atmosphere of a popular day inside Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland Park vs Disney Adventure World

There are two Disneyland Paris parks – the main Disneyland Park and the Disney Adventure Studios park. Both offer something different with their own theming, characters, food and rides.

The Disneyland Park is the traditional park that everyone pictures when they think of Disney, it has the castle, Mickey Mouse and the bigger rides like Hyperspace Mountain and the Indiana Jones ride.

Disney Adventure Studios is centered more around modern Disney and Pixar with the World of Frozen, Card Roadtrip ride, Toy Story theming, and Avengers Campus. You’ll still find characters here and as of 2026 they now have their own parade and fireworks too.

Is one day enough for Disneyland Paris?

While one day isn’t enough time to see absolutely everything that Disneyland has to offer, with some careful planning you can have that Disney experience and get a taste of what’s on offer including a good mixture of rides, shoes, attractions and great food.

Can you see both Disneyland Paris parks in one day?

The two Disneyland Paris parks are a few minutes walk from each other so it is possible to see some of what both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park have to offer in one day.

However, you can’t do everything so before you visit, download the Disneyland Paris app and plan out your must do rides, attractions and shows to plan out your one day itinerary for both parks

Can you go between parks at Disneyland Paris

Yes, you can exit and re-enter each of the parks as much as you like throughout the day. You can also leave to visit the Disney Village or exit the site completely to go back to your hotel and recharge for a few hours.

The image shows the entrance area of Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds. Dominating the background is the iconic white water tower topped with black Mickey Mouse ears and the words “Walt Disney Studios” written across the tank. In the foreground are warm yellow and cream-coloured art deco style buildings with curved rooflines, teal trim, and decorative windows. A few visitors walk through the open plaza area, including a person pushing a stroller and another standing near a rubbish bin and lamp post. Green awnings and hanging flower baskets add colour to the scene. The sunlight creates strong shadows across the pavement, while the bright colours and classic Hollywood-inspired architecture give the area a cheerful, cinematic feel associated with the Disney park entrance.

Tips to visit both parks in one day at Disneyland Paris

Use the app

The Disneyland Paris app is an incredibly helpful tool when visiting Disneyland Paris for any length of time, let alone one day. On the app you’ll find an interactive map, queue wait times, show timings and even restaurant menus.

It’s completely free and well worth downloading before you travel to keep you organised and on track – something that’s essential if you’re visiting Disneyland Paris for just one day.

Decide Your Priorities

You can’t do everything in one day, you need to decide what your priorities are, and saving them and planning them out on the app.

It could be certain rides, a show you need to see (I so highly recommend the Lion King one, it’s honestly amazing), or there are characters you can’t miss.

Deciding what’s important to you before you visit will help you re-prioritise when you’re faced with a queue you don’t want to wait in or need to stay close to the character meet and greet once you’re almost to the front in the virtual queue.

Eat breakfast in the Disney Village before the park opens

Once you’re in the park you want to focus on getting on rides before most of the crowds make their way into the park, especially if you’re staying overnight and have access to the Early Magic Hour.

Don’t waste your time trying to find food as soon as you get into the park. Instead, grab some breakfast in the Disney Village before the park opens. McDonalds is always an easy option but there are plenty of other cafes, restaurants and quick service places to choose from.

Be at the front of the queue when the park opens

It’s easy to underestimate the sheer volume of people trying to get into the Disneyland Paris park if it’s your first visit but trust me when I say it gets BUSY!

Plan to arrive at least 30-45 minutes ahead of the park opening time to be one of the first people in when the rope drops, then you’ll have plenty of time to get to your first ride.

The image shows a colourful parade float moving along a paved street, surrounded by spectators on both sides. The float has a modern, geometric design with curved panels in bright gradient colours, including green, yellow, blue, and purple. A performer stands on an elevated section of the float with arms raised, appearing joyful and energetic. Another performer is seated below, possibly controlling the float. The crowd nearby includes families and children watching and taking photos. Buildings with classic theme park architecture line the background, featuring pastel colours and decorative details. The sky is overcast, creating softer lighting that contrasts with the vivid colours of the float. The scene conveys movement, celebration, and a festive parade atmosphere.

Have a rough plan but be flexible

It’s good to arrive at Disneyland Paris with a bit of a plan around what you want to do and some favourites saved on the app to help you stay on track.

However, if you’d planned to go on a ride and when you get there the queue is huge then skip it to come back later. You only have one day so you need to maximise the time you have and move onto a ride that has a lower queue time.

As the park quietens down towards the end of the day queues tend to quiet down too so circle back to that ride you really want to do a bit later.

Pay for premier access

I wouldn’t normally recommend premier access because, to be completely honest with you, I don’t think the price is worth it, especially if you’re visiting Disneyland Paris on a budget! However if there are a few rides that are your top and only priorities then consider booking premier access

This is the Disneyland Paris version of a fast pass and helps you skip the bigger queues. It’s not a cheap option at upwards of £700 per day for a family of 4 so make sure it’s right for you before you book.

If time isn’t what’s limiting you to just one day at Disney this cost for premier access is more than a one night stay at Hotel Cheyenne for the same dates – just something to consider!

Visit in the summer months

In the summer months the park closes a couple of hours later than in the winter months. It might not sound like much but if you’re only visiting for one day that 2 hours of ride time (and it’s usually quiet ride time too) can mean an extra 3 or 4 rides.

To really maximise your hours in the park stay at one of the Disney hotels the night before and you’ll get access to a benefit called Early Magic Hour. What this means is that hotel guests get exclusive access to the park an hour earlier than everyone else so there are fewer crowds.

Our favourite Disneyland Paris hotel to stay at is Hotel Cheyenne, although Santa Fe hotel is good budget option too. The theming is really cool, it offers great value for money with a reasonable cost, there are some good amenities and it’s close enough to the park to be able to walk in.

Pre-book your show tickets

I wouldn’t normally recommend this as you can very easily queue and get great seats without having to pre-book your tickets.

However, the queue can start building 45 – 60 mins before the show starts so if you don’t have the time to wait in a queue but you really want to see a show then I’d suggest biting the bullet and pre-booking.

We’ve seen the Lion King show at Disneyland Paris a few times and it never disappoints. You can see the effort they’ve gone into to make it truly spectacular and every song gives you goosebumps!

The image captures a large indoor theatre stage filled with performers in vibrant costumes. The stage is designed with multiple circular platforms at different heights, creating depth and dimension. Bright, colourful lighting in shades of blue, orange, yellow, and purple illuminates the scene, highlighting dancers and musicians positioned across the stage. Some performers appear mid-dance, while others stand on elevated platforms or play instruments. The backdrop includes stylised set pieces resembling natural or tribal elements, with bold shapes and textures. Overhead stage lights cast beams across the performance area, enhancing the dramatic effect. The audience seating is partially visible in the foreground, framing the performance. The overall scene feels energetic, theatrical, and visually rich.

Summary: can you do two parks in one day at Disneyland Paris?

Ultimately, you can experience some of what’s on offer but you can’t see absolutely everything so plan what’s important to you ahead of time and get stuck into the Disney magic when you arrive!

If I had to chose the three most important tips to making your one day at Disneyland Paris a success it would be to,

  1. Use the Disneyland Paris app to decide your priorities and plan your rough itinerary before you arrive. Aside from the planning, the map on the app is interactive so it’ll let you get a feel for the layout of the parks before you arrive.
  2. Visit in the summer months to maximise your day. The parks are open later so you just get more time for your money and can catch some more popular rides when the queues are quieter in the evening. .
  3. Have a rough plan but don’t spend hours planning your day to the minute. You need to be able to flex your plans, move rides around and change your routine slightly depending on the queue times.

You can use blogs (like this one), the Disneyland Paris website and Youtube to get inspiration, an understanding of the layout of the parks, and see what others liked (and didn’t!).
